Trade Fair Returns in Ranchi After Two Years
The 12-day Indian Trade Fair began on August 24, 2022, in Ranchi, after a two-year hiatus caused by COVID-19. The fair, which was organized by Sarna Mahila Vikash Samiti, was inaugurated by Mahua Manjhi, Rajya Sabha Member and Rajesh Gupta, Congress leader.
It houses various Indian and five other countriesβ products, traditions, and cultures. A member of the trade fair organizing committee shared that aside from India, about 300 skilled craftsmen from five other countries will exhibit their products.
This is also an initiative to assist women in developing their own identities by displaying their products. The fair is expected to feature approximately 150,000 handmade products. Its attractions include Jamdani sari from Bangladesh, home decor items from Malaysia, mountain dry flowers from Thailand, dry food from Afghanistan, wood items from Assam, and dry flowers from Nagaland.
