Organized by Messe Frankfurt India, Techtextil India is one of the countryโs largest exhibitions showcasing innovations in technical textiles, non-woven and composites. Earlier scheduled to take place in September 2021 at Bombay Exhibition & Convention Centre, the event has been rescheduled in wake of the ongoing corona crisis and will now be held from November 25-27, 2021 at the same venue. The forthcoming event in Mumbai will be the first-ever hybrid edition as the trade fair will be held as a physical expo in conjunction with its online event on the same dates.
The difficulties posed by the pandemic makes it necessary for industries to have some breathing space to recoup and the organizer believes that rescheduling of the show will create a healthy business environment for all stakeholders. Speaking about the decision, Raj Manek, Executive Director and Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd said, โExhibitors, just like organizers, are working around undefined parameters which require adequate planning flexibility. We are all committed to putting up a great show.โ
Elaborating further he said, โOur focus is on the well-being of our exhibitors, visitors, employees and all stakeholders. In the coming months, our efforts will be strongly focused on meeting the safety imperatives and working in co-operation with venue authorities and service providers to implement a comprehensive safety concept, aligned with government guidelines.โ
The outbreak of the global pandemic perhaps brought forth the inherent strengths of technical textiles to the forefront. It came up with advanced solutions in protective textiles, antiviral and air-purifying furnishing fabrics and home textile products, anti-microbial coating among others.
Even in these testing times the industry has shown its resilience in staying committed to meet vital demand for med-tech, agri-tech, geo-tech, sports-tech, and infra-tech, home tech, among others.
