Study in India Virtual Expo gets Enthusiastic Response
The first ever Study in India Virtual Expo for reaching out to global students for Indian education was a big success. The expo was launched by AFAIRS Exhibitions & Media and ‘Study in India’ – a flagship project under the Ministry of Education, Government of India from June 11-15, 2021, on the digital platform. It helped students from as many as 45 countries during the pandemic season to connect with leading government and private universities, colleges and institutions from all over India.
The ‘Study in India Virtual Expo’ opened up possibilities for foreign students to explore avenues in Indian varsities and interact with administrators and faculties and learn more about pursuing education in India, all from the comforts of their homes.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Manoj Kumar, CMD-EdCIL said that the expo provided a stand-alone opportunity as students could harness at least thrice the opportunity. Often in physical fairs the number of hours or number of one-to-one meetings would be restricted but using the digital platform spread over 5 days, students could optimize their time to the fullest.
Concurring with Kumar’s views, Sanjeev Bolia, Founder and Managing Director, AFAIRS Exhibitions and Media Pvt Ltd stated that the virtual expo was a quick and effective means of reaching out to the global students and plug the gaps between the global students’ diaspora and Indian institutions.
