Renaissance’ – the First Tribal Trade Fair in Namkum
Renaissance, a three-day tribal trade fair was organized by Manish Aind, founder of Tribekart, an entrepreneurial venture that aims to create an intra-tribe business ecosystem for socio-economic development of indigenous people. The trade fair held at Adan Vatika in Namkum, near Ranchi from March 25-27, 2022, featured over 100 business entrepreneurs in action at 100 stalls that were put up at the venue.
Tribekart was founded during the lockdown period in India in May 2020 as an economic and commercial platform for tribal entrepreneurs to enhance their income and provide them access to markets in India. According to Manish, his organization plans to host at least two fairs in a calendar year going forward.
Rezi Dungdung, former Director General of Police inaugurated the event. Shri Rajesh Kachhap, Hon’ble MLA, Khijri and Smt. Vandana Dadel, senior bureaucrat and cabinet secretary, Government of Jharkhand visited the stalls.
