Numaish 2022 Closed Temporarily
Numaish, one of Hyderabad’s popular trade fair, organized by All India Industrial Exhibition Society (AIIE), at Numaish Maidan at Nampally in Hyderabad, has been suspended a day after it was opened on New Year day, January 1. The event will remain suspended until January 10 as a means to control the rising Covid-19 cases in Telangana. It is to be noted that Hyderabad didn’t see the trade fair last year as well due to the pandemic, and this year, the 81st edition of the event had begun amidst fears of the spread of the Omicron variant.
Although the organizers were following a “no mask, no entry” and a “two-dose vaccine certificate” policy, they realized that ensuring physical distancing was becoming increasingly challenging. Usually, Numaish which opens on January1 runs until February 15. In 2019, a record 20 lakh plus people had participated in the trade fair.
