Open House Expo 2022, organized by Naval Science and Technological Laboratory (NSTL), was inaugurated by its Director Y Sreenivasa Rao at Ramnath Secondary School in NSTL campus, Vishakhapatnam. The two days exhibition from February 25-27, 2022, showcased exhibits produced by NSTL such as Varunastra, the anti-submarine heavy weight torpedo, which can be launched from a ship, Mareech, TAL and underwater mines, etc.
In this backdrop Rao said that the indigenously developed Varunastra
was deployed on the Indian warship INS Visakhapatnam, which was launched
recently. Appreciating the efforts of NSTL, Rao called upon school and college
students to visit the exhibition and get acquainted with the research done by
NSTL.
