New Corona Ordinance Enables Live Operation of Events
State of Lower Saxony’s new corona ordinance signals the return of live in-person events at the exhibition grounds of Hannover. Speaking about the development, Dr Jochen Köckler, Chairman of the Board of Deutsche Messe AG, said, “With the new Corona Regulation in Lower Saxony, the long-awaited re-launch of trade fairs and events of all types and sizes in Hannover, can now start again for Deutsche Messe and all its guest organizers.”
The core of the Lower Saxony Corona Regulation for trade fairs and events is formed by the 3G regulation, individual safety, and hygiene concepts for all types of events, the generally applicable AHA rules and a digital registration obligation for all persons participating.
He further said, “In combination with a safety and hygiene concept, coordinated with the Hannover Region Health Office, trade fairs and events at the Hannover Exhibition Centre are possible again for vaccinated, recovered and tested participants.”
Köckler added, “With the new Corona Ordinance in Lower Saxony, Deutsche Messe is taking advantage of a trade fair and event-friendly, long-term regulation, and for our upcoming guest events, EUHA Congress, INTERGEO, BioNord and eroFame in September, as well as for our own events CMM in November and Pferd&Jagd in December, the new Corona Ordinance of the State of Lower Saxony provides the necessary tailwind and enables all event formats to have a solid planning basis.”
Currently, on the exhibition grounds in Hannover, all precautions are being taken to ensure the safe running of all fairs.
