Messe Muenchen India Forms Alliance with India Cellular and Electronics Association (ICEA)
Messe Muenchen India and the India Cellular and Electronics Association (ICEA) announced a collaboration to promote the display manufacturing ecosystem at electronica India 2022 and productronica India 2022, which will be held from September 21-23, 2022, at the India Exposition Mart Ltd (IEML), Greater Noida. This partnership supports the Indian Government’s ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ vision to make India self-reliant in electronics manufacturing.
Stating that demand for displays in India is likely to reach US$ 20 billion by 2025 with the current emphasis on Electronics Manufacturing in India and becoming ‘Aatmanirbhar’, Pankaj Mohindroo, Chairman, ICEA, said, “We are getting ready to build display fabs in the country as there is no better time to focus on building this strategic core industry in India.”
ICEA recognizes the role of global partners in achieving the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s (MeitY) vision of increasing Indian electronics manufacturing from US$ 75 billion to US $300 billion by 2026. Delighted with the partnership, Rajesh Sharma, Executive Director & Principal Advisor, ICEA, shared that with the latest incentives, the entire ecosystem of electronics manufacturing has been covered and ICEA has worked tirelessly to build a vast supply chain for a thriving manufacturing market.
To this added, Bhupinder Singh, CEO, Messe Muenchen India, “The Indian government recently announced a US$ 10 billion plan to boost semiconductor and display manufacturing and this potential will be realized with state-of-the-art manufacturing technology and demand-supply synergy, which is the goal of the collaboration with ICEA to establish these synergies.
