Messe Dusseldorf reveals safety measures for trade fairs

ProWein 2020 was postponed due to coronavirus concerns
The new measures are part of Messe Düsseldorf’s Hygiene and Infection Protection concept, which seeks to provide the “greatest protection possible” for exhibitors, visitors, partners and employees amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Wolfram Diener, the new CEO of Messe Düsseldorf, said, “The safety of our exhibitors, visitors, partners and employees is always our top priority. As usual, they can expect a high level of hygiene, safety and good medical care at the Düsseldorf exhibition centre.”
All events held at the Düsseldorf exhibition centre in Germany will follow official distancing and hygiene rules, including maintaining a minimum distance of 1.5 metres. Face masks will also be provided to visitors by staff on-site, who will also be required to wear a face mask or visor.
Future events will also be subject to a limitation on the number of visitors in the building to ensure physical distancing. Tickets will be limited and only available to buy online upon registration.
There will also be floor markings to make visitors aware of the distancing requirements. Staff and security personnel will ensure that distancing is observed.
Sanitisers will be made available across the site and all transactions will be cashless.
All toilet facilities will be staffed permanently by cleaners with restrictions on the number of users. There will also be constant ventilation across the site using air-handling systems.
