Malabar Gold and Diamonds Wins Big at the 48th IGJA 2021
Malabar Gold & Diamonds, the flagship company of the Malabar Group and one of the largest jewelry groups, has won awards at the 48th India Gem & Jewellery Awards (IGJA) 2021 in two categories: ‘Highest Employment on the Company Rolls’ and ‘Global Retailer of the Year’. The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) organizes the IGJA awards, which are considered one of the most prestigious honors in the gems and jewelry business.
Since 1973, GJEPC has held this renowned Annual Awards for the Gems and Jewelry Industry to honor the exemplary achievements of leading exporters and for their great export performance, as well as to felicitate the top importers and banks that finance the trade, among others.
Abdul Salam KP, Vice Chairman, Malabar Group, and Asher O, MD, India Operations, Malabar Group, received the award from Anupam Kher, a notable Indian actor, at the awards ceremony held at Grand Hyatt in Mumbai.
Malabar Gold & Diamonds will open 97 showrooms, 60 in India and 37 abroad. By the end of March 2023, the company’s overall showroom count will be 373, with a significant presence in 13 nations.
