LDJS 2022 Fares Well at Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai
The 2nd edition of the ‘Lab Grown Diamond & Jewellery Exhibition’ (LDJS) took place from August 5-8, 2022, at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. Organized by Lab-Grown Diamond and Jewellery Promotion Council (LGDJPC), LDJS 2022 is India’s biggest lab grown diamonds and jewelry exhibition for Indian and International jewelers.
The show was inaugurated by Shashikanth Dalichand Shah, Chairperson, Lab Grown Diamond & Jewellery Promotion Council. His Excellency Mr. Donnawit Poolsawat, Consul General, Royal Thai Consulate, Mumbai, was the event’s Chief Guest, and Ms Supatra Sawaengsri, Consul & Executive Director, Thai Trade Centre, was the Guest of Honor.
The event was supported by Bharat Diamond Bourse, Surat Diamond Bourse; Mumbai Diamond Merchant’s Association; Lab-Grown Diamond Association – Surat and Heera Zhaveraat (HZ) International. It featured over 100 exhibitors displaying their diverse variety of diamonds and jewelry to visitors, with over 45,000 trade visitors, buyers, and members of the trade fraternity from 9 participating nations.
The event also included 12 Interactive Trade Sessions and 12 Fashion Shows, with models walking the runway showing a variety of LGDJS from various manufacturers and exhibitors from India and around the world.
At the inauguration, Shah commented that the Council has been working to promote LGDJs, remove myths, and educate the trade and end consumers on their features, benefits, and advantages in India and internationally. He added, “The industry in India has been growing rapidly and it is just a matter of time when India will be the biggest outsourcing hub for LGDJs globally.”
