KCCI Held Korean War Special Exhibition
On occasion of 71st anniversary of Korean War, on June 25, Korean Cultural Centre India (KCCI) organized the “Korean War Special Exhibition – 60 Para Field Ambulance” on online platform. The exhibition commemorated the contribution of 60 Para Field Ambulance and showcased the joint efforts of Indian and Korean troops through 32 archived pictures.
The Korean War Special Exhibition opened with a short video of exhibition images and a short message as a remembrance for the troops. The war took place between Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea) and People’s Republic of Korea (South Korea) in June 1950.
Back then, India supported the UN Security Council Resolutions and deployed the “60 Para Field Ambulance” which played a crucial role in providing medical aid to the injured during the war. The troop which numbered 627, was the largest medical unit fielded at the Korean War.
KCCI organized the exhibition as a token of gratitude to Indian contribution and its role in bringing peace and harmony to the region. The 60 Para Field Ambulance and the Korean troops played a crucial role in strengthening the relationships between Korea and India.
