ITMA ASIA + CITME 2020 Concludes on a High Note
The combined ITMA ASIA + CITME 2020, organized by Beijing Textile Machinery International Exhibition Company and ITMA Services at the new National Exhibition and Convention Centre (NECC) in Shanghai, has been a hit. The physical show drew a footfall of around 65,000 over five days. Exhibitors were happy to be back in business following the Covid-19 pandemic and again have face-to-face dealings with local buyers at the exhibition venue.
Reflecting on the show, Yang Zengxing, General Manager, Karl Mayer (China) said, โDue to the coronavirus pandemic, there were fewer overseas visitors, however, we were very satisfied with our participation in ITMA ASIA + CITME. The visitors who came to our stand were mainly decision-makers, and they were extremely interested in our exhibits and held focused discussions with us.โ
Agreeing with Zengxingโs views, Alessio Zunta, Business Manager, MS Printing Solutions opined, โWe are very glad to have participated in this ITMA ASIA + CITME edition. Finally, we were able to meet our old and new customersโ in-person again, as well as to launch our latest printing machine which received very positive feedback at the exhibition. I am happy to see that the local market in China has almost fully recovered and we look forward to next year's combined show.โ
The combined exhibition featured 1,237 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions. An onsite exhibitor survey revealed that around 60 percent of them were glad with the visitor quality and 30 percent reported that they concluded business deals. The show will once again be held as a combined one next year. ITMA ASIA + CITME 2022 will be held from November 20 - 24, 2022 at the same venue.
