India-UAE CEPA Signing
The India Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai celebrated the signing of the historic India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). Lately Shri Narendra Modi, Honโble Prime Minister of India, and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Armed Forces met on the virtual space to acknowledge the agreement. The Indian Prime Ministerโs message on this landmark strengthening of the strategic relationship between the two nations was prominently displayed at the India Pavilion.
It is expected that the agreement will usher in stronger economic relations between India and UAE and open up new avenues for trade and investments. A dedicated India Mart in Jebel Ali Free Zone will be set up for promoting two-way investments in infrastructure projects including speeding up the work on establishing a dedicated investment zone for UAE companies and joint ventures which would focus on establishing a food corridor.
