India Art Fair 2022 Postponed
With New Delhi announcing restrictions to curb the Omricon variant, India Fair has postponed its India Art Fair (IAF) 2022 show in New Delhi from February to April / May. The new dates of the show will be April 28-May 1, 2022. Delhi is under yellow alert and has put curbs on cultural festivals and business-to-business events under which the fair is categorized.
Around 75 galleries and institutions are planning to exhibit at IAF 2022, marginally less as compared to 81 that participated in IAF 2020, when the art fair was held as a physical event on the eve of the pandemic.
According to Jaya Asokan , Director, IAF, all the 75 exhibitors have extended their support and agreed to participate in the rescheduled dates. Asokan was appointed as in-charge to run the fair in March 2021, succeeding Jagdip Jagpal who stepped down after three successful editions. This will be the first edition under her charge.
