Inaugural MTX Connect Kolhapur Expo Boosts Regional Manufacturing in India
MTX Connect Kolhapur 2023 marked a resounding success during its inaugural edition. Organized by the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA), it was held at Pavillion Hotel, Kolhapur, on October 8-9, 2023. With over 1,300 registered attendees and nearly 900 visitors, the two-day B2B expo promoted manufacturing in Tier 2 & 3 cities.
Industry Stalwarts such as RV Gumaste, Managing Director, Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Ltd and Nitin Despande, representing Farrokh N Cooper, Chairman & Managing Director, Cooper Corporation Pvt Ltd, inaugurated the event.
The expo had 42 Indian exhibitors and was supported by key industry organizations, including Gokul Shirgaon Mfrs Association, Kolhapur Engineering Association, and others. These exhibitors displayed cutting-edge machine tools, digital manufacturing, laser technology, tooling, and metrology.
Visitors from Kolhapur, Karad, Jaisinghpura, Satara, Belgaum, and other engineering industries explored manufacturing innovations.
During the show, IMTMA inked an MoU with the Centre of Excellence Kolhapur Foundry & Engineering Cluster to host conferences, seminars, training programs, and workshops to boost Kolhapur’s manufacturing industry’s competitiveness. Rajendra S Rajamane, President, IMTMA, stressed the expo’s importance in helping Tier 2 & 3 cities’ manufacturing needs and supporting MSMEs.
