IIJS Premiere 2021 at BIEC, Bengaluru
Physical exhibitions are back in Bengaluru with the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) organizing its flagship trade show India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) Premiere at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). GJEPC is moving the show from Mumbai to Bengaluru for the first time and will be holding the event in the new venue from September 15 - 19, 2021. The show will be one of the first major ones to be held in BIEC and Bengaluru following the onset of the pandemic in March 2020 which led to postponement of events indefinitely.
Speaking about organizing the show as an in-person event, Colin Shah, Chairman, GJEPC said that GJEPC wanted a high-quality venue to organize an event of this scale and magnitude. He said that the Government of Karnataka extended all possible support to hold the first physical show after lockdown in the state.
Concurring with Shahβs views, Shailesh Sangani, Convenor, Exhibitions, GJEPC, said that following venue constraints in Mumbai it was decided to shift the show to Bengaluru and the Karnataka government was quick in giving all clearances to hold the show.
Adding to what his colleagues said, Mansukh Kothari, National Exhibitions, GJEPC, said that they have planned a series of roadshows to promote IIJS Premiere in major cities of India.
IIJS Premiere has received a whopping 1,275 applications for 2,444 stalls and more than 30,000 visitors are expected for the show. All Covid safety norms prescribed by the union and state governments will be adhered to during the show days.
