In its first, IEIA CXO Summit held by Indian Exhibition Industry Association at TajSamudra, Colombo, Sri Lanka, witnessed C-level executives, network, learn and engage over the issues affecting the exhibition industry.
Colombo that played a host to the first-ever IEIA CXO Summit from October 5-6, organised by IEIA witnessed the convergence of top executives from the exhibition industry on a common platform encouraging a healthy exchange of ideas and look for viable solutions for the longevity of the industry, where leaders were seen brainstorming and discussing the way forward for the exhibition industry during the Round Table Meet organised as part of the program.
The event proved to be an informative platform for learning and engaging,with a special Leadership Session delivered by Coach Jay Kumar Hariharan on the theme- 'How to be a leader of your own life'. The session facilitated wonderful take-away for the participants and helped in inducing the sense of team building and inclusive decision making as key to success for all leaders.
IEIA being the apex body of the ever-growing exhibition industry, which demands attention and innovations to sustain in the market encourages the exhibition industry professionals such as exhibition organizers, exhibition venue owners, logistics service providers, stall fabricator, technology providers, etc. to be creative and adaptive enough with regard to the mindset to achieve the intended targets.
Some of the salient features of the Summit were that it flaunted the participation of C-Level executives from IEIA Ordinary Members category only (Full lifetime membership), unique, peer-driven interactive activities were designed for high-profile executives, it gave the delegates an opportunity to network, gain knowledge and build a collective vision for the industry.
Exclusively a C โlevel executivesโ summit, the event focussed on bringing in a sense of involvement among the participants with the activities organised by the association for the betterment and growth of the exhibition industry. The Summit also emphasised on building a strong think-tank and creating good advocacy for IEIA. A prototype of IEIA 2.0 was presented by Mr. KV Nagendra Prasad, President IEIA during the event.
Besides brainstorming and discussions on the various facets of the exhibition industry and finding ways for the progress of the exhibition industry, the two- day program proved to be a seat of learning for the participants. They were not only seeing sharing their views at the Summit but also proposing several strategies that would help the association in creating a better and prospering space for the exhibition industry.
The occasion witnessed delegates participating in stimulating conversations covering some of the pressing challenges the exhibition industry is facing and suggesting ways to contribute and uplift the sector.
IEIA Executive Committee would be working on the roadmap to build a stronger exhibition industry for the overall progress of the members and the sector basis the inputs shared by the attendees. The Summit ended on a positive note with a post event excursion organised for extended informal time together for the participants along with their accompanying family members who joined the event in Colombo.
