Government of Maharashtra Sowing Seeds to Promote State Tourism
The Government of Maharashtra is fostering tourism trade by actively participating in trade fairs across India. With an aim to provide a platform for traders to spotlight their tourism products, the recent trade fair took place at The India International Travel Mart (IITM), Tripura Vasini Palace Grounds, Bengaluru.
Around 18 tourism companies participated in the trade show, which was inaugurated at the hands of Vijay Jadhav, Deputy Director, Additional Charge
and Preeti Vanage Pawar, Tourism Specialist Directorate of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra. Maharashtra Tourism is expected to take part in 7 city trade fairs till March 2024, covering East to West, North to South. The trade fair featured tourism companies offering a spectrum of services, encompassing hotels, tour operators, and hotel promoters.
In this backdrop, B N Patil, IAS, Director, Directorate of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra, stated, βWe aspire to portray Maharashtra as a multifaceted destination encompassing beaches, leisure, adventure, jungles, religious festivities, and culinary delights.β
