First Alternate Fuel Conclave and Exhibition on EVs
Maharashtra is bracing up to promote electric vehicles as an alternate to fuel powered cars in a big way. Maharashtra Pollution Control Board and Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation will organize the Pune Alternate Fuel Conclave in the city from April 2-5, 2022, at MCCIA Trade Tower in Pune.
The exhibition on EVs will be held on April 2 on the occasion of Gudi Padwa, the largest EV rally will be on April 3, and a conference on alternate fuels (EV, hydrogen fuel and biofuel) will be from April 4-5 in Pune, said Shri Aaditya Thackeray, Honโble Minister of Environment & Climate Change, Government of Maharashtra.
According to Shri Thackeray, the Pune Alternate Fuel Conclave will further Maharashtraโs commitment to switch to clean modes of transport and bring in decarbonization.
The Department of Environment and Climate Change selected Pune as the host city due to the large presence of auto industries and ancillary units. The Pune Alternate Fuel Conclave will be held every year to engage all stakeholders in the auto and related industries to find solutions for clean transport in Maharashtra.
