Exhibitions and Public Fairs open in Delhi

The Delhi Government has given the green signal for public fairs and exhibitions from September 16, 2021, onwards. The city which was one of the worst affected by Covid second wave has come a long way and the state government decision will instill confidence among exhibitors and visitors to participate in exhibitions and events.
Business-to-consumer events will be now open albeit with the standard operating procedures (SoPs) issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. As per the SoPs, venue owners need to adopt stringent measures such as separate entry and exit for visitors, disinfection of halls before handing over possession, setting up permanent isolation centres, and a planned garbage disposal system.
The custom of โ€˜Namasteโ€™ instead of โ€˜handshakeโ€™ need to be promoted and Aarogya Setu app has to be used. Trade fair organizers also need to stagger the operational hours of the exhibition to ensure organized gathering.
