Indian startup ecosystem was on display at the 11th edition of Elevate, the popular startup pitching series under the Indian innovation hub umbrella in India Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. As many as 21 startups presented their innovative business ideas to global investors on February 17, 2022.
The participants articulated their vision, exchanged knowledge on the potential sectoral trends and networked with the global business community.
Startups from various sectors such as agriculture, fast moving consumer goods, health, information technology, jewellery, e-commerce, and many more, pitched their respective offerings. Companies such as Greentatwa Agri Tech Innerbeing Wellness, AA Enterprises and Foods, Sri Velavan Agro, Urban Monk, 4700BC Popcorn, Wholsum Foods, Jaykas Foods, Doctor Millets Agro Industries, Vijayanjali Nutri Ce-Reals, AKN Foods, Minkan Agro, OrgTree, Fountainhead Foods, and many others, presented their ideas.
Interestingly, over 60,000 startups from 28 states and 8 union territories are registered with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry in India. The country ranks in the top 50 Global Innovation Index and ranks fifth in the list of startup-friendly nations in the world and is the leading one in Asia.
