Electrifying the Indian Road Space
Electric vehicles (EVs) are gradually increasing their presence on Indian roads and the EV market in India is targeted to reach around $206 billion (โน14.24 trillion) in the next 10 years. NITI Aayog, the think tank of the Government of India, expects 70 percent of all commercial cars, 30 percent of private cars, 40 percent of buses and 80 percent of two-wheeler and three-wheeler sales to be of EVs by the year 2030. Overall, the government expects that the cumulative sales of EVs from all segments to reach over 100 million units by FY 2030.
In this backdrop, to further propel the adoption and expansion of EVs and also address the challenges confronting EV adoption, Messe Frankfurt India is launching the E-Mobility India Forum powered by NGV India Summit on October 7, 2021, at Hotel LeMeridien, New Delhi.
