DPITT Sends Delegation to the World Economic Forum 2022

As the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting returns to Davos after a two-year hiatus, India has taken the initiative to have a consolidated marquee presence to increase the country's exposure and attract investment opportunities. The initiative launched by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPITT) under the Ministry of Commerce aims to represent India’s position as an important stakeholder shaping the global narrative as it assumes the presidency of the G20 in 2023. The year 2022 also marks the 50th anniversary of the World Economic Forum and the 35th anniversary of the Forum’s collaboration with India.
Mansukh Mandaviya, Hon’ble Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Chemicals and Fertilizers, and Hardeep Singh Puri, Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, lead the Indian delegation. The delegation includes Chief Ministers and Senior Ministers from six states: Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Telangana.
Invest India, a facilitator for investors looking to invest in India, is hosting a series of roundtables and panel discussions over the course of five days to deliberate on key sectors.
