The Ministry of Defence, Government of India has postponed its flagship exhibition on defence ‘DefExpo’ which was scheduled to be held at the Helipad Exhibition Center in Gandhinagar from March 10-14, 2022. The ministry cited logistics concerns experienced by participants in deferring the show. The new dates for the exhibition will be announced in due course it said in a release. Held biennially, the DefExpo is one of India’s largest exhibition showcasing military innovations and is recognized as a pivotal show for advancing defence sector needs. Around 1000 firms from more than 50 countries were expected to participate in the show. DefExpo is held to project India as an emerging defence manufacturing hub with many venture capitalists exploring the possibilities of investing in defence start-ups.
