Building NewSpace in India in September-October
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in association with NewSpace India Ltd (NSIL) and Antrix Corporation will jointly organize the international space conference and exhibition from September 13- October 4, 2021, virtually.
According to CII, the digital conference and exhibition with the theme “Building NewSpace in India” aims to strengthen space industry’s participation in manufacturing of satellites, launch vehicles and space applications. The event will provide opportunities for stakeholders to interact on the virtual platform and explore business options. It will also highlight the initiatives of the Government of India such as setting up of the sectoral regulator Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre-INSPACe) and the Indian space agency, ‘ISRO’.
CII estimates that the global space economy was valued at $385 billion in 2020 and is likely to grow to $428 billion by 2028, based on research by EuroConsult. Every year the show organizers used to hold the Bangalore Space Expo at BIEC in Bengaluru but this time due to the pandemic it has been shifted to the digital platform.
