Bharat Tex 2024 Expo to Redefine India’s Textile Powerhouse Status
Bharat Tex 2024 Expo, world’s largest textile fair, will be held at Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi complexes. Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs & Food & Public Distribution and Textiles, Government of India, stated at the Expo’s opening ceremony that “Bharat Mandapam or Yashobhoomi will significantly boost our efforts to position India as a global leader in the textiles sector.”
Bharat Tex Expo will solidify India’s status as a global textile powerhouse, ushering in a new era in the country’s textile repute. The minister emphasized that the 200,000 sq mt event will be the largest textile exposition in the world. The Expo will feature over 40 countries exhibiting, as well as knowledge sessions, conferences, CEO roundtables, B2B & G2G meetings, designer exhibitions, fashion shows, sustainability workshops, and expert speeches.
The platform will emphasize India’s textile value chain, which includes fashion, traditional crafts, and environmental sustainability. The event is proposed by the 12 textile-related Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) and other industry associations.
