Bangkok’s IMPACT Exhibition Centre deploys UV disinfection robots

Thailand’s IMPACT Exhibition Centre in northern Bangkok has joined the list of venues that have turned to UVD (ultraviolet-light-disinfection) robots to safeguard against virus and sanitise contaminated surfaces.
IMPACT has introduced strict cleaning protocols and has deployed two robots to disinfect its exhibition halls and common areas.
Paul Kanjanapas, managing director at IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd, showed off the robots at the full reopening of IMPACT after the Thai authorities allowed Phase 4 of reopening for the MICE industry. The permission to reopen comes with the caveat that safety and preventive measures still need to be followed strictly, including social distancing and customer density control.
The venue’s robots are mobile Germ Saber UVC Sterilisers, developed by the NSTDA in collaboration with Chulalongkorn University.
“We are also using touchless elevator control panel or MagikTuch, another invention that is developed by NSTDA, to avoid cross-infection and thus reinforce safety measures,” said Kanjanapas. “Such innovations truly highlight IMPACT’s concept of smartness on top of safety for our customers.”
IMPACT Muang Thong Thani has 140,000sqm of floor space and boasts five large multi-purpose buildings.
