Bahrainโs Four-City Roadshow Targets Leisure, MICE, and Weddings in India
Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) successfully held its first four-city roadshow on September 12, 13, 15, and 16, 2022, in Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, and Delhi, respectively. Bahraini hospitality, travel, and tourism companies took part in the four-city roadshow. The goal was to reconnect with and make new connections with Indian travel agents. Over 400 agents from the four cities attended the event.
The primary focus has been on attracting a significant number of visitors in the coming years from various segments such as leisure, MICE, and weddings.
The event began with trade meetings with stakeholders. A presentation on Bahrain as an Indian travel destination followed. The roadshow highlighted Bahrainโs convenient e-Visa process and multiple direct flights that take less than 4 hours. Bahrain has beautiful beaches, adventure activities, luxurious accommodations, pearl diving, heritage, culture, and food. The city also hosts the world-famous Formula One race.
The concept of #friendsofBahrain was introduced to the audience at this event. The idea behind this hashtag is that anyone who is associated with the destination and promotes it is a friend of Bahrain or a brand evangelist for the country. The tourism board will use the hashtag in all future communications to encourage travelers, trade, and influencers to use it to promote Bahrain.
