AMTEX 2021 Postponed
North Indiaโs biggest exhibition on metal cutting and machine tools industry, โAMTEX 2021โ has been postponed with the government retracting permission to organize the exhibition from April 8-11, 2021 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
In wake of the mounting coronavirus cases, Delhi Disaster Management Authority announced a ban on any public or social gathering including business exhibitions.
Reed Exhibitions India, the organizers of AMTEX is deliberating on the future course of action and will announce the new show dates soon.
Speaking about the decision to not hold the event in April, Anuj Mathur, Chief Operating Officer, Reed Exhibitions India said that with India undergoing the worldโs biggest vaccination program things will be normalized and AMTEX would be back on the floors at the earliest. He said that the company took the decision to postpone AMTEX 2021 due to the sudden surge in coronavirus cases and the retraction in permission to hold the event. Recognizing the need for maintaining public health and safety it has been decided to postpone the event.
The retracted permission to hold the shows in Delhi was later revoked by DDMA clearing the pathway for future exhibitions in the region.
