Altering the Environmental Landscape with Renewables
Informa Markets in India organized the third edition of its flagship Renewable Energy India Expo (REI E-Expo). The expo which is Asiaβs largest and significantly influential one on renewables was held on the digital platform from August 5 - 6, 2021, in view of the pandemic situation and travel restrictions.
The show was virtually inaugurated by Dr Stephan Hesselmann, Economic Minister Counsellor, German Embassy, New Delhi; Alexis Issaharoff, CBC Vice - Chair for Asia (in charge of Southeast Asia); Jennifer Fagan, First Secretary, Trade and Investment β Energy and Clean Growth, Department for International Trade, British High Commission, New Delhi; Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, Informa Markets in India and Rajneesh Khattar, Group Director - Energy Portfolio, Informa Markets in India.
The REI E-Expo was well received by the industry fraternity with leading companies such as Jinko Solar, Anchor, Longi, Sova Solar, Centrotherm, Sabo Systems, Amerisolar, Indo-German Energy Forum, Senergy, Risen Energy, Amrut Energy, to name a few, participating in the event. PV production technologies, solar PV modules and allied products, solar inverters and hybrid systems, wind turbines and energy solutions, and so on were showcased.
Launching the expo, Mudras said that the event is being organized at a time when India is gradually recovering from the pandemic which hit its economy adversely. Policymakers and industry players have to work closely to help the country recover from the Covid impact. Events like this will help scale up sustainable, innovative, reliable, technologically efficient and modern energy that is required by various industries.
The two-day conference with the theme β Transforming to Clean Green World provided participants an insight into the advances happening in the global renewables market.
