10th Sports India International Expo 2022 Was a Hit
The 10th Sports India International Expo was held from August 4-6, 2022, at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida with the goal of making India a key player in global sports. Shri Girish Chandra Yadav, Minister of State for Youth Welfare and Sports, Government of Uttar Pradesh, attended the event as the main Guest of Honor, along with Dr Somendra Tomar, Minister of State for Power and Alternative Energy, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and Ekta Vishnoi, Director, Fit India Mission.
The expo was jointly organized by Indian Exhibition Services and Sport India Foundation, supported by Physical Education Foundation of India (PEFI), Sports Goods Export Promotion Council (SGEPC), Ministry of Commerce, and Ministry of MSME, Government of India.
Stating that sports is one of the most gratifying career prospects in a country with many job opportunities, Swadesh Kumar, Director, Indian Exhibition Services, commented that this expo aims to educate the youth about sports as a career and also serve as a platform for sports business development in India.
Piyush Jain, Secretary, Physical Education Foundation of India (PEFI), mentioned that sports drive our economic growth, since the expansion of the sports industry has a favorable impact on our economy as a whole, providing more manpower and increasing quality of life.
