Owned by UBM plc listed on the London Stock Exchange, UBM Asia is the largest trade show organiser in Asia and the largest commercial organiser in China, India, and Southeast Asia. UBM Asia has a strong global network with 41 offices and over 1,600 staff in 26 major cities.

Michael joined UBM Asia in 1994, and is responsible for UBM Asia’s fashion, beauty and maritime verticals and also trade fair activities in India and many in China. He is also a Director of Shanghai UBM Sinoexpo International Exhibition Co Ltd, a member of the UBM Asia group of companies.

Over the past ten years, Michael has also been very much behind the formation and growth of UBM India which is now one of the largest trade exhibition organisers in India. Michael has been a very vocal supporter both in India and internationally in bringing investment into India for the MICE industry and pushing forward with many local and overseas investors to have suitably-sized exhibition venues particularly in the cities of Mumbai and Delhi.

He was appointed as the first UFI (The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry) Chapter Chairman for Asia/Pacific in 2000 and in five years grew the Chapter to be the most active and fastest growing in UFI. Michael is today Treasurer and Vice Presidentof UFI.
