With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Pietro Piccinetti is responsible for running all facets of the Fiera Roma’s business operations. Born in Rome, completed his studies in engineering in Venezuela, Pietro began his career at Olivetti Group, covering several positions in different area as South America and United States. Moved back to Italy in 1998, he has been promoted Marketing Manager at Olivetti Group becoming responsible to expand the workforce of different Companies in France (Paris) and in the UK (London).

In 1994 he experienced the world of the Private Equity, first in Switzerland and later in Italy. Nominated from several Funds CEO and President, he led successfully different industrial Companies in the Northeast of Italy counting prestigious partnerships such as Funds B&S Electra I.F. Thanks to his long-term experience at Olivetti Group, he achieved a great know-how of “Made in Italy” and International Activities. At Olivetti Group he started dealing in Exhibition Trade Fairs and from 2000 the Exhibition Trade Fairs became his core-business along with his role as Administrator/ Advisor at Fiera Milano Group. In 2013, he became CEO of Porde none Fiere S.p.A, turning it from a small and marginal Trade Fair into a strategic and central one, with six new annual international exhibitions.

Since April 2016 he is also CEO of Fiera Roma S.r.l., selected for his leadership qualities and stellar performance to transform it into the country’s fastest-growing and innovative Trade Fair within few years. Since 2013 he is Coordinator for the Commission of Internationalization AEFI (Italian Exhibition and Trade Fair Association) and Board Member of CEFA(Central European Fair Alliance) member of UFI. On top of this, he attended lots of specialization courses, both in Italy and abroad, receiving an University honorary degree in Environmental Engineering in the 2000.

He covered different roles in several Boards of Directors, in Italy and abroad. Apart from work, he is the father of three children and his life revolves around his family and his passion for travels and golf.  He is fluent in English, Spanish and French.
